St. Mark's United Methodist Church, located on the banks of the beautiful Bayou Desiard, has been in this community since 1961. Other than the relocation of Bayou Shores Road, which used to run behind the church and an addition to the facility in the 1970's, very little changes have been made at St. Mark's. It is now 2007 and many changes have occurred in the community. Through the movement of the Holy Spirit the congregation is now involved in a transformation process. We are taking steps of faith -one step at a time- to move us into God's dream for us at this time in this community.
